The announcement comes a month after Punter Southall Group announced the merger of its institutional investment adviser and fiduciary manager, P-Solve, with River and Mercantile Asset Management to form what will be known as River and Mercantile Group.

PSG group managing Director Kenneth McKelvey will join the board of Argentis, which will continue to operate independently under the leadership of chief executive David Taplin. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

Kenneth says: “We look forward to working in partnership with the team at Argentis to help their business expand. We’ve known them for some time and are confident that our strong relationship will lead to greater commercial opportunities.”

Taplin says: “Punter Southall Group’s investment and support will enable us to move the business forward while continuing to provide an excellent service to our clients.”
