Railpen has appointed Emma Goodford as a consultant to drive leasing across its life sciences and innovation portfolio in the Oxford-Cambridge corridor.
The appointment comes as Railpen accelerates the development of a significant innovation cluster comprising 11 commercial assets across the region, totalling 1.9 million sq ft. The assets span sustainable workplaces, laboratories, R&D facilities, and build-to-rent (BTR) homes, all integrated into mixed-use schemes designed to support high-growth, knowledge-led industries.
Goodford is currently focusing on Cambridge, spending time on site at Mill Yard, a 180,000 sq ft mixed-use campus designed to offer companies the facilities they need to grow and attract talent.
In a LinkedIn post, Gooford said: “Very excited to take a consulting role at Railpen, leading on Life Sciences and Innovation leasing. My focus? Naturally, the Ox-Cam growth corridor,r where Railpen is the second largest real asset investor, creating a true ‘innovation cluster’ of 11 commercial assets totalling 1.9m sq ft, including sustainable workplaces, labs, R+D and BTR homes in mixed-use schemes.
“I’m spending considerable time in Cambridge and have already seen the on-site progress @mill yard – 180,000 sq. ft in a truly mixed-use campus- everything a company needs to attract the best talent.”
