Morris joined the company in 1988 as an international consultant in the New York office before relocating to London soon afterwards. Since then he has been an account director and consulted with a number of Towers Watson’s largest multinational clients, both in Europe and the US. He has also been office leader for the Reigate office, one of Towers Watson’s largest offices globally. The appointment will be effective from 1 September.
Ramamurthy started with the company in September 1977 when he joined Harris Graham, which became part of The Wyatt Company through the acquisition of Harris, Graham and Partners in 1979. He held various leaderships positions during the alliance and subsequent merger of R. Watson & Sons and The Wyatt Company to form Watson Wyatt Worldwide between 1995 and 2005.
Ramamurthy says: “Paul has built an outstanding reputation with clients and colleagues alike during his time with the firm, and he is well placed to guide our business going forward. Under Paul’s leadership our EMEA business has a very exciting future.”
Morris says: “I am excited to be taking over from Babloo at this fascinating and challenging time in the development of our EMEA business. Babloo has led and grown the EMEA business in an admirable fashion over the past seven years and laid a strong foundation upon which I aim to build.”
John Haley, chairman and chief executive of Towers Watson says: “Babloo has dedicated his career to the growth of this company and our associates. While it is exciting for Babloo to start this new chapter in his life, we will all miss his leadership at Towers Watson and, on behalf of the Board of Directors and our associates, we wish him all the best for his upcoming retirement.”
