Benenden Health has joined the trade body, the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries.
The York-based not-for-profit healthcare provider recently expanded its distribution to ensure it healthcare product is available to more intermediaries and their corporate clients.
Its Benenden Healthcare for Business product aims to offer a low-cost options for corporates looking to add additional employee benefits. The product offers a digital GP service, mental health helplines and quick access to a range of additional services, such as physiotherapy, medical diagnostics, and treatment.
Benenden Health is a relatively new entrant to the intermediary market. Its national sales manager Duncan Hardie says that he hopes its membership of AMII will help show the company’s “commitment to delivering the best industry standards” and its intention to provide “client-centric health and wellbeing services and support”.
The AMII represents intermediaries and insurer members promoting and advising on health insurance, protection and well-being services to individuals and companies.
The Association has continued its record-breaking expansion this year welcoming a further three intermediary members this month – Homewood Health, J Osborne Healthcare and My Health Protected.

AMII membership benefits include participation at national conferences, technical regulatory compliance support, parliamentary and regulatory lobbying, preferential professional indemnity insurance cover, online technical advice and professional support, an education events programme and opportunities to network with industry colleagues.
