Ronnie Taylor, who formerly held the role of distribution director at Scottish Widows, is understood to be joining Aegon, Corporate Adviser understands.
Taylor is understood to be taking on a role at Aegon similar to the one held at Scottish Widows although he may have an expanded remit, and will be reporting into CEO Adrian Grace. He is believed to be starting his employment at Aegon in May.
Taylor joined Scottish Widows in 2013 before leaving last year and was formerly CEO of Vebnet. He also held senior roles at Standard Life.
Scottish Widows named Jackie Leiper as his replacement as distribution director last December.
Taylor and both providers declined to comment on the story.
