How digitally able is the UK? Well, according to the Consumer Digital Index Report:

  • 16.8 million people are in the low and very low digital capability segments
  • 29.9 million people are in the low and very low financial capability segments

So who is being left behind and what free support is available to employers and individuals to increase the number of people benefiting from the digital dividend?

In this podcast, Robert is joined by Jemma Waters, author of the Consumer Digital Index Report, the UK’s largest study of digital and financial lives, and Lucinda Crowther, from the Royal National Institute of Blind People. They discuss what the research is telling us and what free support is available to get individuals online and up the digital capability scale.

It’s a fascinating listen and something that is high up on this government’s agenda.
