SEI appoints new director

Louise Whyte is new regional director of defined contribution within SEI's Institutional Group.

Whyte will be responsible for growing and developing SEI’s DC proposition which includes its master trust.

She will be based in the company’s London office but will oversee business development across Europe and the Middle East.

Whyte joins from BlackRock, where she held the role of relationship manager, and was responsible for 100 DC plans. She has 20 years in the banking and investment management sector having also worked for JM Finn, Jupiter and M&G.

SEI Institutional Group’s managing director Ian Love says:  “This appointment demonstrates our continued focus on meeting and anticipating our institutional clients’ needs.

“SEI’s DC Master Trust was one of the first master trusts to launch in the UK, and it continues to provide market-leading results and tailored solutions to both employers and members.”

He says Whyte will be working closely with SEI UK’s head of DC, Steve Charlton, who has been instrumental in further developing the company’s DC offering since joining the company last year.
