Smart has appointed Eve Read as senior director of strategic delivery.
Read will be in charge of the company’s UK proposal team as it adds additional capabilities to the Smart Pension Master Trust and works on Keystone, the company’s worldwide platform-as-a-service offering.
Read will be in charge of Smart Pension’s consolidation strategy as Master Trust schemes combine and people take more control of their retirement accounts.
Read worked for employee benefits advisor Mercer for 20 years, focusing on pensions. During that time, she established and oversaw the UK DC consulting division for the company. Recently, she was a leader in business delivery and customer engagement at the government DC programme NEST.
Read says: “It’s great to be joining Smart at such an interesting time for the business, with so many important things that I can actively help the company to deliver. I’m very keen to help our teams build new features that help ordinary savers, as well as helping the business grow its presence through strategic acquisitions.”
