Spire Healthcare has launched an end to end workplace health solution designed to help employers improve employee wellbeing, reduce sickness absence, and boost productivity.
The initiative looks to bring together an integrated proposition that spans prevention, advice and treatment – including access to Spire GPs, physiotherapy, musculoskeletal services, mental health support, diagnostics and elective hospital care.
Spire’s data has shown that access to physiotherapy and musculoskeletal treatment within five days of illness can drive a 90 per cent return to work success rate.
The launch comes at a time when the UK economy and employers face escalating health related challenges, with 2.8m working-age adults inactive due to health issues. Sickness absence and lower output have been estimated to cost businesses £4-5K per employee per year, with workers now taking an average of 9.4 sick days annually.
Jon Clover, managing director of Spire Workplace Health, says: “This development is designed to provide an end to end service that helps businesses predict risks, offer preventative solutions, support employees early, and provide fast, high quality treatment when needed.”
Spire Workplace Health also offers population health insights and predictive analytics, statutory and advisory health surveillance, wellbeing workshops, ergonomic assessments and workplace immunisation and vaccinations.
