Lift-Financial has built what it describes as the only adviser-backed website for helping members of trust-based schemes to set up spousal bypass trusts.
Designed in conjunction with Technical Connection, the service is designed to allow scheme members with death in service benefits to maximise estate planning opportunities cost-effectively.
Lift-Financial is currently offering the service to one scheme it advises, but will be rolling it out to other clients in the coming months. Joel Adams, chief executive of Lift-Financial says: “We recognise that people with death in service benefits should have a spousal bypass trust if they and their spouse’s assets are approaching the combined nil rate band. This is belt and braces planning, and comes with a helpline if they get stuck.”
