EBC and risk broker Sutton Winson has launched a home insurance proposition that can be incorporated into any benefits platform.
The product, called HomeFlex, has been created specifically for the flex benefit market and provides home insurance cover through a process that requires just 6 dropdown questions.
Avantus Systems has added HomeFlex as a core option for all clients.
Sutton Winson says the policy is extensive with no need to purchase add-ons and no administration or hidden charges.
Their in-house claims team is on-hand to provide pro-active help to an employee should an incident or acci- dent happen, with all claims settled within 48 hours of being approved.
Sutton Winson director Grahame Lamb says: “Employers do a great deal to help protect their employees and support their financial well-being; however, we think that home insurance is a key missing element in most well-being strategies. By helping employees to insure their biggest financial asset, companies can go a long way providing a truly holistic solution. A solution that, should the worst happen, is supported by a claims team which has considerable experience in specifically helping employees in their hour-of-need, keeping the claim process simple and being with them every step of the way.
“When developing HomeFlex, our goals were to deliver a quality product that was easy to purchase and to make sure that when a claim happens we’re there to help reduce the stress & strain and let the employee focus on what’s really important.”
Avantus Systems managing director James Whelan says: “Whilst the technology and development behind this solution is sophisticated, the actual implementation and user experience is very straightforward. From personal knowledge, I know that buying home cover can be a very intrusive and laborious process; HomeFlex does away with those frustrations and, in the process, has created the EB industry’s first genuine Home Insurance benefit.”
