B&CE, the provider of The People’s Pension, has appointed Shakeel Ahmad as its new head of risk and performance.
Ahmad joins from F&C/BMO Global Asset Management, where he was head of investment risk. He has previously held the same position at JP Morgan and spent four years at ABN Amro Asset Management as head of risk management for fixed income and FX.
B&CE says his appointment will strengthen the team overseeing the investment strategy of its master trust, which now has more than £17bn assets under management and runs the pensions of almost 6m people.
