Simplyhealth’s product director, Tina Kennedy, will be leaving the company to join national mapping agency, Ordnance Survey, as its new chief customer officer (CCO) starting in November.

In a LinkedIn post, Kennedy said: “It’s been an amazing ride – nearly three years at Simplyhealth driving product-led transformation, bringing creativity and innovation to the evolution of Simplyhealth’s Healthplan offering and shaping a bold strategy to expand our Healthplan business into the non-regulated space, culminating in the launch of our whole-of-workforce product portfolio, with a strong partner network.

“And now it’s time to take my next steps, and I am so thrilled to join Ordnance Survey at such an exciting time, supporting business transformation, delivering brilliant customer outcomes and driving growth.”

Ordnance Survey provides geographic data for governments, businesses and consumers. It supports public services, commercial planning, and international projects using location insights and also offers consumer products like OS Maps for outdoor navigation and exploration.

Kennedy, who is experienced in digital transformation, sales and leadership, will be leading the team providing location data to public sector customers, businesses and developers.

She has worked in a variety of sectors, including health, software, telecoms and financial services. She has also worked as head of business strategy and consulting at Experian, before becoming commercial director for the Public Sector there. She has also led a comprehensive transformation as director of product strategy and UK Board member at social housing software provider Aareon UK.

Kennedy will work alongside outgoing CCO John Kimmance before he retires in 2026 after a 30-year career at Ordnance Survey.

Kennedy says: “Location data has the power to improve almost all walks of life, from the way we build, buy and sell houses to improving local authority services and saving lives in the healthcare sector. The opportunity to work for Ordnance Survey, which is respected worldwide for its delivery of credible and authoritative location data, at such a pivotal time of change, is incredibly exciting.

“I’m passionate about the importance of effective transformation and creating seamless and inclusive customer experiences that make a real difference to people’s lives. I’m really looking forward to working with colleagues across OS to deliver value to both existing and future customers.”

Ordnance Survey chief executive Nick Bolton says: “Ordnance Survey has been delivering value as Great Britain’s national mapping service for more than 230 years. Over time we’ve adapted to provide the location data and expertise which underpins critical decision making across the country. Last year we embarked on a business transformation with our new Data and Destinations strategy, which recognised that customer needs, technologies, and the market ecosystem were all changing. We needed to seize the opportunities this presented, and Tina is joining us as we continue this transformation journey.

“Tina has a hugely impressive portfolio of experience in customer and sales strategy, digital transformation and commercial leadership. This expertise will be instrumental in reaching more destinations and making our data more accessible to new and existing customers. I have absolutely no doubt that she will make a big impact from day one.”
