TPT Retirement Solutions has appointed Ruari Grant as its new head of policy & external affairs.
Grant joins TPT from Pensions UK, where he was most recently head of DC & master trust.
At TPT, he will be responsible for defining and leading TPT’s policy direction and supporting the Executive Board in delivering its policy objectives. Grant will work to develop TPT’s perspective on pensions industry issues and the regulatory landscape through formal engagement with government bodies and influential pensions organisations.
He will report to chief commercial officer Nicholas Clapp.
Grant spent over 11 years working in pensions policy and strategy. Prior to his work at Pensions UK, he spent seven years at Standard Life Aberdeen, working as a public affairs associate and digital strategy consultant.
TPT chief commercial officer Nicholas Clapp says: “We are excited to welcome Ruari to TPT. He will doubtless be a valuable addition to the team, bringing a strong basis in pensions policy. As we continue to expand our offerings for consolidation, having a clearly defined strategy and methodology will be integral to succesfully bringing these products to market – something Ruari will be key to delivering.”
Grant says: “I’m very excited to join TPT and play a role in delivering its series of new and innovative products. I’m looking forward to working with the team across DC, DB and CDC, and helping them navigate the pensions landscape at a time when policy is fast-evolving.”
