Unum Dental has launched an employee enrolment portal that enables employees to opt-in to their workplace dental cover via a streamlined online process.
The new offering is targeted at medium and large employers without access to a flexible benefits platform, and has been designed to improve the enrolment experience for employees when accessing dental insurance cover through the workplace.
The portal can be accessed on the go via a smartphone, allowing employees to manage their claims and ensuring minimal admin for small and medium-sized employers.
Unum research shows that 30 per cent of employees surveyed saying they would pay for dental cover if their employer had a scheme in place.
Unum Dental provides cover for both planned and pending treatments identified before the policy start date.
Unum Dental managing director Andrew Bower says: “Dental cover is the most popular voluntary health benefit offered and in recognition of that we wanted to give businesses a cost-effective solution which eliminates the complex paper application process voluntary benefit schemes typically carried in the past. This new portal further enhances our digital offering, allowing us to create a completely online experience that is both user-friendly and significantly reduces our paper footprint.”
