Source Pensions, which describes itself as the only provider that unbundles administration and investment of pension schemes, launched in the UK in 2011 and now has 48 schemes transforming to its platform. Its sister company in Ireland runs 140 schemes. The offering comprises an online system, investment choice, administration and trusteeship.

Alastair Burt, managing director, Source Pensions says: “Our offering through our Root online system allows IFAs and Employers far greater flexibility in terms of investment choices and default options.

Source Pensions is committed to offering a diverse range of high quality and cost efficient investment solutions, particularly suited to small to medium sized employers embarking on their auto-enrolment journey. We are therefore very pleased that we have Vanguard on board and to be able to offer their high quality range of tracker funds to our clients. Vanguard is widely acknowledged as one of the foremost investment managers globally for defined contribution pension funds. We also expect to be able to announce further additions to our platform in the coming weeks.”

Simon Vanstone, head of European institutional at Vanguard says: “We believe that setting an appropriate asset allocation and minimising costs are two of the most important factors in attaining investment success. Our funds are designed to provide access to key asset classes at low cost, enabling employers and individuals to build portfolios that are well-suited to their goals. As such, we look forward to working with Source Pensions and having our range of funds available on their platform.”
