Vitality’s cover now includes access to its employee challenges feature, built into the app, which supports better health and wellbeing across teams.
Employee challenges are an interactive digital tool that promotes physical activity through four-week step challenges. Employees join teams from any location to get active, compete on leaderboards, and win prizes.
Businesses can create themed challenges with distinct visuals, such as a virtual walk across the country, to engage and motivate employees. These challenges include milestones that divide the four-week duration into smaller, achievable segments. Individual and team leaderboards add a competitive element, while virtual badges and trophies reward participation. Team highlights are showcased throughout the challenge via a shared feed, weekly wrap-ups, and a final summary, fostering a sense of progress and community.
According to Vitality, the new tool fosters collaboration and creates a fun, engaging environment to boost physical activity across organisations. It helps businesses motivate employees to be more active while building a culture that prioritises health and productivity.
Vitality Health director of Corporate Business Pippa Andrews says: “Productivity and ill-health are two of the biggest issues being faced by workplaces and employers alike, and both are Employee Challenges will help them to face head on by creating a collaborative environment that pushes and incentivises them to further embed health and exercise into their day to day lives.
“We know that increasing physical activity, even by a small amount, can make a difference to a person’s health, and by challenging employees to push themselves that little bit further, employers can expect to see a healthier, happier and more productive workforce.”
