Vitality has appointed Katie Tryon as deputy CEO for Vitality Health.

Tryon, previously chief commercial director for health at Vitality, expands her remit to include strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and operational management for the Vitality Health business, alongside her ongoing responsibility for commercial partnerships and member health journeys.

According to Vitality, the deputy CEO position is a newly created role within the health business under Vitality’s new global structure, reflecting both the growing scale of the business and the increasing importance of healthcare and clinical expertise.

VitalityHealth CEO Dr Arun Thiyagarajan says: “We’re delighted to announce Katie’s appointment as Deputy CEO for the health business. Her expertise across the medical, healthcare and insurance sectors, combined with her commitment to preventative care and innovation, will see us deliver more high-quality services to our members and help them to live heathier lives now and into the future.”

Tryon says: “Vitality has always been an insurer that places its customers at the heart of its business. By considering the complete health experience and outcome of a customer, prioritising health and wellbeing, both at the point of need, and in what can be done to reduce a person’s risk of illness and ill health, we are transforming a person’s experience of health insurance.

“In the deputy CEO role, my focus will be on further strengthening partnerships, ensuring we have the most effective health journeys and services for our members, and supporting continuous innovation as an organisation.”
