WESTFIELD Health is adding cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to its Foresight Healthcare Plan as a part of a range of improvements to the product.
Westfield’s Foresight Plan now offers an absence and risk management tool and employee assistance programme including CBT as core benefits. The plan also offers a consultation benefit and stand-alone scanning service.
Corporate premiums on levels 1 and 2 remain unchanged since 1999 despite the addition of benefits including online personal health risk assessment, dental trauma, chiropody and homeopathy. Level 3 corporate premiums have been increased by 25p per employee, per week, although Westfield says this is the first increase since 2006. A new fourth level of premium has also been introduced in response to employer
requests for a higher level of cover with increased benefits.
Westfield says dental benefits have effectively more than doubled with the introduction of the dental trauma benefit. On level 1, the optical benefit has increased by more than 22 per cent and the therapies benefit by 25 per cent.
The plan has also made it easier for employees to upgrade their cover and join a partner and includes three new employer support services, BusinessCare an employer’s health and safety information service, an HR helpline and a company health report.
Westfield Health chief executive Jill Davies says: “We recognise that employers and intermediaries are looking for a sustainable plan with innovative benefits that can complement PMI cover if required.”
