The employee benefits platform WorkLife by OpenMoney has widened its benefits with the introduction of private health insurance and charitable giving schemes.

Customers of WorkLife will have the choice to provide a premium, custom private medical package catered to the unique requirements of their workforce thanks to a new partnership with Premier Choice Healthcare. Premier Choice Healthcare offers an impartial service on a variety of health, risk, and protection products as a member of the GRP Group, one of the biggest insurance intermediaries in the UK.

WorkLife’s new Give As You Earn (GAYE) programme is powered by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) gives platform users the option to donate directly from their paychecks to any UK charity before taxes are deducted. This makes it easier and more affordable for users to support the causes that are important to them, according to WorkLife.

These most recent changes come after a number of other improvements made throughout 2022, such as the opening of an employee recognition centre and the introduction of discount purchasing programmes for both petrol and electric vehicles.

Niamh McLaughlin, Managing Director of WorkLife by OpenMoney, said: “Our objective has always been to ensure that all businesses – whether they have five or 5,000 employees – are able to offer sought-after, meaningful benefits that enrich their employees’ lives. With WorkLife’s latest Small Business Monitor showing that three-quarters (73%) of firms are seeing increased demand for pay & benefits in the current environment[1], a key priority for us is helping employers to navigate this demand and develop our offering to support the ever-evolving wants and needs of their employees.

“Charities Aid Foundation and Premier Choice Healthcare are both pioneers in their field – we are hugely excited by these two partnerships and look forward to working together to help more of our clients support and engage the talent they need for a successful future.”

Premier Choice Healthcare sales director Darren Perkins says: “We are excited by this relationship at Premier Choice and very much look forward to working with WorkLife to bring sought-after medical benefits to employees using their platform.  We see this as an excellent opportunity to spread the word about the importance of features to support employees’ health within firms’ overall employee benefits proposition.”
