Employe benefits platform WorkLike by OpenMoney has partnered with Aberdeen-based financial planning firm Futura.

This will see Futura will offer its corporate clients access to the suite of benefits available on WorkLife’s online wellbeing platform.

WorkLife says this new partnership will expand its reach in Scotland. Benefits available via its platform include insurance and protection products, an NHS-approved mental support app, financial wellbeing and money management tools and a range of employee savings and discount schemes.

WorkLife by OpenMoney relationship director Paul Chedzey says: “The past 18 months have shone a real spotlight on the need for workplace benefits that genuinely support people’s overall wellbeing.”

He said this partnership with Futura should help the company start rolling out its platform to the wider adviser community. He adds that the company’s goal was to ensure employees working for smaller companies had access to the types of benefits and support available through larger corporates.

Futura director Paul Shanahan adds: “Most employee benefits providers tend to focus on the physical aspect of wellbeing but, as the challenges facing workers evolve, we need to think differently about how we can support people in other essential areas too.”

He says WorkLife has a clear on focus on the five key pillars of wellbeing: financial, mental, physical, social, and environmental. Shanahan adds: “In partnering with WorkLife, we will not only continue to strengthen our existing workplace benefits proposition, but also have a hand in driving a fundamental shift in how businesses of all sizes view their ability to support and reward hard-working employees.”
