YuLife has welcomed the government’s recent welfare reforms that would transform support for individuals with health conditions with the aim to reintegrate into the workforce.
According to Yulife, the scrapping of the Work Capability Assessment and the introduction of a “right to try” work guarantee instead along with a significant £1 billion investment in employment support, represent a “pivotal shift towards fostering resilience and rehabilitation”.
YuLife and MetLife have partnered up to provide a complete strategy that blends financial, mental, and physical health support, which YuLife says promotes a holistic approach to workplace wellbeing.
In addition to complying with these new government regulations, the Group Income Protection (GIP) offering, which is provided in collaboration with MetLife, will also establish a new benchmark for employee benefits and support.
YuLife says it invites legislators and business leaders to work together on creative solutions that put employee wellbeing at the centre of their corporate strategies in order to create a healthier, more resilient workforce.
YuLife CEO Sammy Rubin says: “This is a watershed moment for welfare and workplace culture in the UK. As the government redefines support mechanisms, there is a golden opportunity for businesses to redefine the role they play in the wellbeing of their employees.”
“Our vision extends beyond traditional benefits. We are committed to pioneering support systems that empower every individual not just to return to work, but to prosper. This aligns with the government’s new direction, which emphasises sustainable employment and health empowerment,”
