Yurtle, a B2B solution helping employers prevent caregiver burnout in their workforce, has appointed Hollie Nairn to the new role of head of sales.

Nairn has worked with a number of group risk and employee benefits providers, including Aviva, Unum and Legal & General. She joins Yurtle from employee benefit consultant firm, Buck, where she has been business development lead.

In her new position, Nairn will be spearheading Yurtle’s drive for growth, focusing on engaging intermediaries, building partnerships with providers and developing the proposition. She will also be responsible for creating a holistic marketing strategy.

The appointment comes after Yurtle recently secured funding of £1.37m to grow its workplace offering.

The company says the impending Carers Leave Act 2023 will impact employers and underlines the role they can play supporting he growing numbers in the workforce with caring responsibilities. It says this is likely to drive demand for its services.

Nairn says: “During my career, I’ve worked with many employers, helping them to support workplace wellbeing through a vast range of insurances and services. I’ve seen the growing need to support caregivers, so I’m delighted to join Yurtle at this crucial time to address this pressing issue.”

Yurtle founder Antonio Ribeiro adds: “[Nairn] brings industry expertise having worked as both an intermediary and a group risk provider. Together our aim is to change the landscape of caregiver support in the workplace, the single most pressing need of our generation faces given our rapidly ageing population.”
