Janus Henderson Investors has appointed David Whitehair as its new director of institutional business, defined contribution, with a view to developing the company’s DC proposition.
In this role Whitehair will provide strategic input to product development and marketing initiatives and build on existing links with DC investment platforms, trustees and consultants.
Whitehair will be based in London and report to Anil Shenoy, head of UK institutional.
He joins from Franklin Templeton, where he was director of DC strategy, and helped design products for both the accumulation and decumulation phases. Whitehair has also previously worked at Fidelity International.
Shenoy says: “The DC investment market continues to develop; particularly following pension freedom legislation, master trust consolidation and the continued growth in assets.
