Aceso Health & Group Risk and Mattioli Woods have become the latest members to join the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII).
The trade body says this follows Friarsgate, Voyager and UK Global Healthcare signing up in the last quarter. AMII now represents approximately 120 intermediaries, insurers and providers across the health and wellbeing sector.
Mattioli Woods was established 30 years ago, and is now a UK-wide business employing 650 employees.
Edward Watling, senior employee benefits consultant, Mattioli Woods says: “The focus of employee benefits is increasingly fixed on employee wellbeing and membership of AMII gives us the opportunity to contribute towards the development of the industry.”
Aceso Health & Group Risk director Mike Picken says: “From the beginning we wanted to create a business that truly meets the varied needs of the market. We offer a range of services which consider all aspects of health, including our five main pillars: physical health, mental health, financial health, social and community, and occupational health.
“We felt it was important to join AMII with its good standing in the industry, and we’re especially impressed with its lobbying and work to tackle issues that affect our clients.”
AMII executive chairman, David Middleton adds: “We’ve had a brilliant couple of months with new members at AMII. It feels like there’s real momentum in our industry at the moment, with a lot of people keen to join us in driving change and pushing things forward.
AMII membership benefits include participation at national conferences, technical regulatory compliance support, parliamentary and regulatory lobbying, Preferential Professional Indemnity Insurance cover, online technical advice and professional support, an education events programme and opportunities to network with industry colleagues.
