Pension and employee benefit consultancy Buck has appointed Chris Mowatt to be its new head of UK share plans.

Mowatt, who joins from Barclays, has over 25 years experience in this particular sector. For the last decade Mowatt headed up Barclays global stock and rewards division that provided share plan administration services to over 75 corporate clients. He has also held senior roles at Morgan Stanley and HBOS.

Buck says the appointment will enable the business to focus on providing a more client-centric service, when it comes to setting up share plans as part of a wider employee benefit offering.

In this role Mowatt will focus on improving user experience through streamlining the use of technology. This will allow for greater interaction and engagement with plan participants, helping clients deliver on their financial wellbeing and resilience goals for their employees.
