Canada Life has appointed Deb Bond as its new distribution director for its wealth management division.
Bond was promoted from the position of head of sales after an intensive internal and external search according to the company. She initially joined Canada Life after nearly 8 years at Legal & General, where she held many positions, the most recent of which was as its international account director.
Deb’s hiring comes after Aston Goodey’s departure earlier this year.
Canada Life Wealth Management MD and executive director Sean Christian says: “I am delighted to welcome Deb to the Wealth Management leadership team. Over recent years Deb has been central to the sales development of our wealth proposition. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership and people skills that will be essential as we build and develop a market-leading team and deliver our growth ambition.”
Bond says: “Canada Life is committed to developing our market-leading presence in the wealth management space and so this is an incredibly exciting time to step up and lead the team to demonstrate our ambition. I am working alongside an incredibly talented group of people and know we will create the opportunity for individuals and their teams to excel.”
