Now: Pensions has appointed Lizzy Holliday as director of public affairs and policy.

Holliday will be in charge of directing the company’s public affairs and policy strategy.

Holliday previously worked for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), where she oversaw important reforms to the department’s policies regarding private pensions. Among them was the creation of frameworks like the master trust authorisation and the inaugural Collective Defined Contribution (CDC) and Defined Ambition (DA) pension frameworks.

Over the course of her more than 15 years in the field, she has created policy solutions to promote the growth of workplace pensions in the UK and improve results for pension savers.

Previously, in 2019, Holliday was transferred from the DWP to the Pension Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA), where she managed the delivery and execution of the Retirement Living Standards as well as the PLSA’s consultation on recommendations for decumulation.

Holliday, who will report to Eleanor Levy, Now: Pensions’ chief commercial officer, will assist the provider in achieving its growth goals and work with regulators and the pensions sector to prepare for and adjust to regulatory changes, such as the installation of pensions dashboards.

NOW: Pensions director of public affairs and policy Lizzy Holliday says: “I am hugely passionate about driving greater pension equality, improving outcomes for members, and investing sustainably. I am thrilled to embark on this new challenge at NOW: Pensions, which has been a major player in expanding UK pension savings through auto-enrolment over the last decade and shares my passion for making pensions fairer for all.”

NOW: Pensions CEO Patrick Luthi says: “Lizzy’s appointment reaffirms our commitment to drive positive change for our members and the wider pensions industry. We are focused on providing the best possible service to our two million members and ensuring more people can benefit from pension saving via the workplace. 2023 will be a significant year for NOW: Pensions and Lizzy’s experience of the pensions policy landscape will be a real asset to us and the wider Cardano Group.”
