Tisa makes board changes

The Investing and Saving Alliance (Tisa) has appointed Larry Banda as executive director who will be CEO of its commercial board.

Banda has been on Tisa’s corporate board since 2015, and became deputy chair in 2020. He will continue in this non-executive role alongside this new appointment which will be on a part-time basis. 

Banda has been supporting Tisa’s executive team as a board member and has been actively engaged in Tisa’s work on later life lending and personalised guidance. 

Tisa has also announced that Harry Weber-Brown, CEO of Tisa Digital will be stepping down from this role after five years at the company. Weber-Brown is moving to a fintech in the industry. While at Tisa, Weber-Brown has co-ordinated efforts to create a single, reusable Digital ID for financial services as well as vital digital workstreams such as the Open Savings, Investments and Pensions (OSIP) project and the implementation of smart data.

Tisa says there project remain key areas of focus for it going forward, and it has in place transition plans to ensure the continuation of this Tisa-led projects.

Tisa chairman Tony Stenning says: “[Banda] has been an active board member of Tisa for nearly eight years, and his industry expertise and insights will provide valuable guidance and leadership to our expanding commercial activities. 

“This is set to be a crucial year in the completion of several Tisa initiatives and we are delighted to have secured the services of someone with Banda’s outstanding capabilities.”
