Dalriada Trustees has expanded its statutory board, making a number of new director appointments, which serve to improve the gender split of this board.

The professional trustee firms said these appointments reflect the individuals’ contribution to the business and their roles in delivering on Dalriada’s future growth plans.

The newly appointed board directors are Shehzad Ahmad, Sarah Ballantyne, Amanda Banister, Leanne Coomber, Geoffrey Farmer, Judith Fish, Julie-Anne Jones, Tiziana Perrella, Claire Sidebottom and Charles Ward.

This statutory board is responsible for ensuring that Dalriada provides the highest standard of governance across its appointments — ensuring effective stewardship and services standard to pension fund members.

Dalriada said it is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion, believing that a diverse board improves the robustness and quality of decision making and brings a broader perspective to discussions.

These new appointments improve the diversity of its board across a number of areas, in particular gender.  Following the new appointments, the gender make-up of the board has improved to provide a 53 per cent male and 47 per cent female split.

Tom Lukic, chair of Dalriada’s board, said: “The new appointments reflect the valuable contributions each person has made and our plans to develop our business going forward.”

He adds that the increased diversity of the board’s collective skillset will enable it to continue to deliver for clients at a time when schemes are navigating an increasingly complex and challenging landscape.
