Sackers has created two new partners in its pension law business and made three other senior promotions.
Polly Ehrman and Emily Rowley have been promoted to partner, Hannah Savill and Lucy Bennett to associate director, and Leanne Carter to senior associate. The promotions took effect on 1 December 2025.
Ehrman is a finance, investments and derivatives specialist, who advises trustees, employers and providers for Sackers. In the role she covers risk transfer insurance policies (buy-ins and longevity swaps), derivatives, trading, custody and collateral arrangements, DC projects, related regulatory advice, and investments in and sales of illiquid assets.
Rowley is an experienced, general pensions lawyer advising trustee and employer clients on all aspects of their DB and DC pension arrangements. Recent experience includes assisting clients with end game considerations and alternatives, including preparing for and implementing risk transfers, transfers to superfunds and managing surplus, as well as supporting schemes of various sizes with governance policy reviews.
Savill, Bennett and Carter advise trustees and employers in a range of sectors on all aspects of their pension arrangements, including benefit changes, risk transfer projects, mergers, scheme closures and governance issues.
Sackers senior partner David Saunders says: “Our ability to offer comprehensive and integrated support across all areas of pensions legal work is built on the strength of our people, and we are delighted to announce the promotion of five outstanding lawyers within Sackers.
“These promotions reflect not only their individual achievements but also our ongoing investment in talent and the future of Sackers. We look forward to seeing them flourish in their new roles.”
