The Employee Support Scheme service, which is arranged with PHP’s recently acquired subsidiary Red Arc Assured, can be used alongside group medical insurance or as a standalone service. It makes Red Arc’s serious illness service available to employees or members of their family that are diagnosed with a serious health condition or long-term disability such as cancer, heart condition, stroke, MS or chronic arthritis.
The service gives free access to the employee’s own personal nurse adviser, who will provide appropriate information and support – including a home visit by a nurse specialising in the health condition, or a course of therapy appropriate to their needs, or a programme of specialist counselling. The scheme costs employers 12 per annum per employee.
