Pensions firm Aptia has connected 200 schemes to pensions dashboards.

The dashboards are a UK government-backed initiative that is intended to allow retirement savers to view information about their pensions through one consolidated online portal. The deadline for schemes and providers to connect to the dashboard is 31 October.

According to Aptia, connecting to the dashboards is helping the firm to improve data, drive efficiency, enhance member outcomes, and future-proof administration operations.

John Wilson, Aptia’s head of pensions technical, says: “This is a significant milestone and an important step towards improving how people engage with their retirement savings. By helping schemes connect efficiently and effectively, we’re supporting improvements in data quality, driving operational efficiencies, and ultimately enhancing outcomes for pension members.”

Aptia has also committed to connecting further schemes to the dashboards. Figures at the firm include former pensions minister Guy Opperman.

Life events such as redundancy, job moves or retirement will drive engagement with pension dashboards, according to research from WTW.
