Armitage will take up the role of director of consultancy at workplace solutions at Aegon UK.

He was previously DC consulting director at JLT Benefit Solutions, where he had worked since 2009, before which he had served at HSBC Consultants & Actuaries for over 12 years.

Armitage says: “This is a hugely exciting time in the industry. Regulation and technology have created a great deal of opportunity, especially in the workplace savings market, and we are committed to delivering for customers in that space.

“We are working to ensure our range of products, the services we offer and the support we provide are designed to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
“We will continue to develop our workplace proposition and I will be looking to ensure that we can guide advisers, employers and employees through auto-enrolment and beyond to ensure they capitalise on the benefits of saving for their future through an engaged employer.”
