Broadstone has appointed Jamie Burdess as to be its principal consultant for vertical markets.

In this new role he will support the execution of Broadstone’s risk and health growth strategy by identifying, and developing new propositions targeted towards the needs of specific industries.

Burdess joins from Mercer Marsh Benefits where he spent over 14 years as a senior associate and lead consultant for its education practice. Prior to this he worked for Lloyds Banking Group.

This vertical markets strategy will be developed with the risk and health leadership team and promoted with clients, providers, other stakeholders and across the wider market.

Brett Hill, head of health & protection at Broadstone said: “[Burdess’s] expertise will be invaluable as we develop innovative vertical market propositions and strengthen our reputation as a trusted partner to clients across multiple sectors. He is highly experienced in the health, protection and wellbeing markets with a track record of building tailored solutions for clients in specific industries.”

Burdess adds: ”The opportunity to shape and deliver new, market-leading propositions that directly address the needs of different industries really appeals to me.”
