XTP has appointed David Bennett, former board member and head of investment consulting at Redington, as a non-executive director and senior advisor.

Bennett worked with Redington for almost 13 years, contributing significantly to the company’s development from a start-up to one of the top investment consulting businesses in the UK. As a senior consultant, Bennett provided advice to some of the largest and most sophisticated pension funds in the UK. He was also a board member, head of research, and chair of Redington’s investment strategy committee.

Prior to joining Redington, he worked for Goldman Sachs for 24 years, serving as a trustee and member of the investment committee of the Goldman Sachs defined benefit pension fund for seven of those years while providing advice to UK pension funds and insurance firms.

XTP director Stewart Bevan says: “David brings a wealth of financial services expertise and is a highly regarded industry professional. As UK pension schemes strive to enhance their investment governance and increase returns, David’s knowledge and experience will help steer us toward delivering maximum value for our clients. We are delighted to have David on board.”

Bennett: “I was extremely impressed with the rigor and depth of XTP’s process. Their data- driven approach delivers unique insights into the investment set-up, resulting in measurable efficiency gains for institutional asset owners. XTP have an excellent and highly experienced team and I am excited to be supporting them in executing their ambitious growth plans in the UK.”
