Hymans Robertson has further expanded its risk transfer team with the appointment of Mahad Farooqui.

Farooqui has considerable experience in managing buy-in and buy-out projects, and joins from Aon where he worked as a consultant. He has also previously worked for Mercer where he specialised in risk transfer.

Hymans Robertson partner and head of risk transfer solutions James Mullins says the appointment will further strengthen the team. “[Farooqui’s] understanding of the buy-in market will ensure that the members of the schemes we work with will be granted the best possible outcomes during the whole buy-out process and beyond.”

This appointment comes after Hymans Robertson appointed both Catherine Thain and Christian Ah-See to the team in August. This expansions comes as there have been a record number of buy-out and buy-in transactions in the market in the first half of this year.
