Mercer has appointed Deborah Frost as the new chair of trustees of the Mercer Master Trust, effective from April 2025.
Frost has held executive, non-executive, and board director positions in the technology and financial sectors. Before this, she was the group CEO of Personal Group Holdings, an AIM-listed provider of employee benefits and insurance. She will succeed Alan Pickering, whose term concludes in April 2025.
Frost will spend the rest of Q4 2024 as an observer for the Mercer Master Trust. In January 2025, she will formally become a Trustee, and in April 2025, she will assume the position of Chair.
In addition to longstanding Trustees Lisa Mundy (BESTrustees) and Giles Payne (Capital Cranfield), Frost joins Trustees Aimée Denham (Vidett Trustee Services) and Nicole Mullock (Independent Governance Group), who were appointed earlier this year.
Mercer UK defined contribution leader Suzanne Rose says: “Deborah is a dynamic leader with experience in the employee benefits sector. Her extensive background in regulated environments, combined with a strong focus on employer and member outcomes, will be invaluable as we introduce new innovative propositions to benefit our members.
“I would like to take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to Alan, whose leadership has been instrumental in shaping the Trust’s offerings and ensuring the best outcomes for our members.”
Frost says: “This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the stewardship of our members’ futures and to ensure that we continue to provide exceptional service and support. I look forward to working alongside my fellow trustees and the dedicated Mercer team to uphold our commitment to excellence and innovation in pension management.”
