Mercer has made a number of senior appointments at Jardine Lloyd Thompson, the consultancy group it acquired last year.
These appointments cover both UK and Europe.
There will be three new appointments to Mercer’s UK Wealth team, led by Benoit Hudon. Karen Phillips, currently managing director of wealth management at JLT, will become the new head of Mercer’s UK financial planning business.
Malcolm Reynolds managing director of JLT’s UK administration services, will become client leader for Mercer’s UK administration services. He will work alongside Rich Tuff, the UK & Ireland administration leader.
Meanwhile Steven Robinson, the managing director of trustee and corporate consulting at JLT, will lead the mid-market segment for Mercer’s UK Wealth business.
Robinson will also be responsible for developing the overall offering, including insured defined benefit arrangements, for the combined organisation in the UK.
In its European division, Mark McNulty, managing director of investment solutions at JLT, will take on the role of European head of clients for Mercer’s delegated solutions business.
Mercer also announced two new leadership appointments within its technology team. Teresa Beach, currently managing director of JLT Technology solutions – and a member of the Mercer/JLT integration team – will continue to lead the UK Technology Solutions.
She will report to Bala Viswanathan, who has been appointed as Mercer’s chief operating officer.
These appointments will become effective as the merger between Mercer’s parent – Marsh & McLennan – and JTL receives final regulatory approval.
Mercer’s international president David Anderson says: “By combining Mercer and JLT talent and capabilities, we will build on our shared value of putting clients and our people at the heart of everything we do.
“These new leaders bring considerable knowledge and experience of the JLT business. Together they will be core to ensuring the successful integration of our combined businesses.”
