She will join the company on 29 September, reporting to chief executive Gary Shaughnessy and will be a member of his executive team.
Huntington will head up the UK life marketing team, setting the insurer’s marketing strategy and overseeing digital marketing and social media.
Currently running her own consultancy business, Huntington was formerly director of customer strategy & design at Australian wealth manager AMP, where she played a role in its transformation from a product-centric organisation into a customer-led business.
Shaughnessy says: “As the business continues to evolve, we are focussing even more on putting customers and how we market to them right at the heart of our business. Therefore, I created a new executive level role to lead in this important area.
