Verlingue has further strengthened its position in the UK market with the acquisition of employee benefits  consultancy EBCam for an undisclosed sum.

This Cambridge-based specialist firm has an experienced team in place that will work alongside the Verlingue team.

Verlingue says that this latest acquisition accelerates the company’s strategic growth plans, while expanding its geographic footprint. It adds this will provide new opportunities to enhance and broaden its services.

This move follows the integration of Verlingue and Brunsdon Employee Benefits in 2023.

Verlingue is one of Europe’s largest independent insurance brokers and employee benefits consultants employing more than 1,600 people across France, the UK, Switzerland, Portugal and Italy. It places over €3.2bn in premiums annually.  In the UK it employs around  200 people in six regional offices.

Verlingue says there is a strong cultural fit between itself and EBCam, with shared values, goals and ambitions.

Verlingue CEO Mike Latham says: “EBCam is a highly respected consultancy with an experienced team and an impressive portfolio of clients. This is an important step in our continued expansion in the UK employee benefits market.”

Seb Merritt, executive director at Verlingue adds: “Following the successful integration of Brunsdon Employee Benefits in 2023, we have a clear blueprint for sustainable growth in this market. Welcoming EBCam is another step forward, bringing great people and specialist expertise into the business and enhancing the support we provide to clients, both now and in the long term.”

EBCam CEO James Bolton says: “We are excited about what this partnership will mean for our clients and colleagues.”
