The National Pension Trust (NPT) has appointed Nick Desai to the new role of business development consultant.

Desai joins from Money Alive where he was head of workplace sales. He has worked in sales and managerial positions for over 30 years in the pensions industry and worked at Aegon for over 26 years, most recently as a client development manager.

Desai says: “It’s fantastic to be able to join a rapidly growing, highly regarded Master Trust with such an enthusiastic and qualified team. I look forward to working with my new colleagues and communicating with both prospects and Benefit Consultancies as we bring future innovations to market to improve outcomes for our members.”.

XPS Pensions Group head of NPTPaul Armitage says: “I’m delighted to welcome Nick to our growing NPT team. Nick will have a vital role to play in the continued growth of NPT. This growth reflects the market leading developments we’ve made to the proposition. We have recently revised our performance-leading default fund to focus on climate change and to reduce carbon exposure and we have a number of further exciting developments to come over the next few months.”
