Zurich adds employee wellbeing support to Club Blue broker programme

Zurich UK is marking the third anniversary of its Club Blue broker programme by introducing a free virtual GP service for partner brokers and their employees.

The programme was launched in June 2023 and provides learning, development and wellbeing support to broker firms across the UK. In 2025 alone, the programme delivered more than 6,700 hours of learning and development support to over 160 broker members, helping businesses develop staff through professional qualifications and leadership training.

The new virtual GP service has been introduced to support broker wellbeing and help firms enhance their employee wellbeing offering at no additional cost.

It will be delivered in partnership with HealthHero, the service provides brokers and their employees with unlimited access to virtual GP consultations, medical advice and diagnosis. Users can book appointments, arrange prescriptions and request referral letters 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Zurich says the service is designed to provide flexible and convenient access to healthcare, enabling employees to seek medical support without disrupting their working day.

Zurich head of sales and distribution Jacqui Kelly says: “Brokers are the heartland of our industry and so much more. They are people building businesses, supporting clients, and navigating constant change. As their world evolves, we’re right there with them. Through Zurich Club Blue, we’re strengthening our support, so brokers can truly thrive both today and in the future.

“At Zurich, we believe that behind every successful business is a team of people who should feel supported and able to perform at their best. That’s why we’re making it easier to access the right health support at the right time. By adding physiotherapy and dietitian services, we’re helping tackle issues early, so small problems don’t become bigger ones.

“When you consider that 148 million[1] working days are lost each year to sickness absence in the UK, and poor workplace health costs employers around £85 billion annually[2], this isn’t just about numbers, it’s about people, livelihoods and businesses staying strong. Supporting brokers and their teams in this way isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s something we genuinely care about and I’m incredibly proud to be able to support our partner brokers with this new proposition.”
